This versatile activity can be used in several different ways. Start by having your students record the animal adaptation found on each card. Then, have students go back to each card and find the underlined word. They will use vocabulary strategies to determine the meaning of each word. Finally, challenge your students with the higher-order thinking task, featuring 6 questions that ask them to apply knowledge from all the cards they just read!
